Anusha has substantial litigation experience defending clients against putative class actions, state and federal consumer protection claims, coverage actions against and between insurers, Jones Act claims, and both prosecuting and defending against Limitation of Liability Actions in Admiralty. Anusha vigorously handles all aspects of complex commercial litigation from pre-litigation investigation of high-exposure, catastrophic incidents, through trial and appeal.

Anusha’s maritime practice has centered on representation of vessel owners, marinas, fishing companies and insurance interests, including maritime employer liability, maritime PI and wrongful death defense, and marine insurance coverage. Her work has also included representation of maritime hospitality and recreational clients in the defense of premises liability and passenger claims.
In addition to her maritime practice, Anusha has also defended airlines, trucking companies, a Fortune 150 railroad, general contractors, subcontractors, and insurers of high-profile construction projects, against insurance bad faith, property damage, contractual and bodily injury claims. With a unique combination of experience in litigation, insurance coverage and background in financial services, Anusha develops risk models for high exposure, catastrophic incidents and putative class actions.
Anusha worked as a complex litigation partner for an AmLaw 100 firm in Seattle, at which she represented maritime, aviation and transportation industry clients, prior to which she practiced in Los Angeles at a boutique litigation firm with a focus on labor & employment and professional liability. As a further complement to her legal career, Anusha underwrote property-casualty insurance for a multinational insurer prior to law school, where she priced, negotiated and secured coverage for commercial clients.
